Built in our shop first

OBPrint started as internal software for a working print shop. These are workflow outcomes from real production, not inflated review counts or anonymous testimonials. We publish named case studies when shops opt in.

Who built this
OBPrint started as internal software for a working print shop. Product direction, review, and accountability stay with the team that runs production floors, not a generic SaaS playbook.

We stopped quoting from memory

Before OBPrint, garment costs lived in old quotes, supplier websites, and whoever answered the phone last. Decoration pricing was in spreadsheets that did not always match the matrix on the press.

Connecting S&S and SanMar put blanks in the quote builder with live catalog costs. Decoration matrices and overhead made margin visible before we sent the quote. When a customer approved, the sales order carried the same line items to production.

The production board replaced a whiteboard for stage tracking. Press runs with piece counts showed which jobs ate time. That feedback changed how we priced the next rush order. Job costing after the fact matched what the floor reported.

We still run the business on this system daily. Product changes ship because we feel production pain first.

Outcomes

  • Quotes start from supplier catalog costs, not last year's spreadsheet
  • Press time and ink roll into job costing on The Full Run
  • Proof approvals sync to sales orders and work orders
  • Team messaging stays on the job instead of a side group text

Shops testing the full workflow

We onboard shops in small groups so support stays close. Most start on Short Run to quote real jobs, then upgrade when they need press tools, a second seat, or live merch.

Common wins: fewer retyped quotes between sales and production, clearer board handoffs between art and print, and costing that matches what the floor actually ran.

Sign and wrap shops use install scheduling and the installer app when field work is a big part of revenue. Promo distributors lean on PromoStandards catalog search and merch stores for repeat programs.

We do not publish star ratings or fake logos. Book a demo and we will share examples relevant to your shop type if the shop has opted in.

Outcomes

  • Short Run lets shops try quoting and production with real limits
  • Full Run shops use OB-5, merch publish, install scheduling, and QuickBooks
  • No fabricated metrics, review counts, or anonymous quotes
  • Named case studies only with shop permission

Honesty

What we will not claim

  • We will not show fake customer logos or "trusted by thousands" counts
  • We will not invent star ratings or anonymous testimonials
  • We will not promise margin improvements without context from your shop
  • We will not claim competitor features we have not verified
  • We will not imply every shop should switch; fit depends on your workflow

FAQ

Story questions

Ask us after you have run production on OBPrint for a few months.

We only publish with written permission and accurate workflow detail.

It is also how the product gets built. We run production on OBPrint.

That does not mean your shop is identical to ours; book a demo for your workflow.

Margin gains depend on what you were doing before, your mix of work, and how you use costing feedback.

We prefer honest workflow outcomes over invented statistics.

When shops opt in, we connect you for a reference call.

Until then, a demo with your job types is the best proof.
